The Witness Protection Agency has found the minor who walked out of the protective custody of a Children's Home in Murang'a two weeks ago. The minor had been defiled while under police custody following her arrest for a crime she had allegedly committed at Murang'a University.
She was placed under protective custody in October as the case involving a policeman proceeded. But on December 15, she went missing from the Children's Home where the WPA had kept her.
The WPA said: "The Agency wishes to clarify that the minor has now been found save from her "hide out". She will be presented to court in the ongoing defilement case immediately the court confirms the next hearing date," WPA principal public relations officer Calvine Oredi said on Sunday. The Agency wishes to further caution against wild allegations and unfounded claims which may endanger the security and safety of the minor and jeopardise the ongoing case."
