Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti has promised to try and convince France team-mate Antoine Griezmann to join him at Camp Nou if there is a chance of landing Atletico Madrid's star forward.
Umtiti arrived at Barcelona in the summer of 2016 from Lyon and has quickly established himself as a regular at the heart of the Catalans' defence.
That form has also seen him break into the France team, where alongside Griezmann the youngster helped Les Bleus clinch a place at the 2018 World Cup.
Now, with Griezmann's Atletico struggling to reach the heights of previous seasons, Umtiti believes he would be a fine addition to the Blaugrana squad.
"We have already seen what he can do at Atletico, he is a world-class player," the 23-year-old signalled in an interview with Ara.
"If the opportunity to sign him is there I will tell him not to hesitate, and to come to Barca."
