Supreme ⚖Court Rejects Paupers' Petition Against Uhuru's Win

The Supreme Court has rejected a pauper's application challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta's win in the repeat election. It said the application by George Bush and John Chengo lacks the legal threshold to be admitted

.

Bush and Chengo wanted the court to allow them to file the petition without paying the mandatory Sh1.5 million court fees, arguing that they are paupers. They claimed that they live in a mud-walled house in Huruma and attached their Mpesa statements to show their poor status.

They argued that the withdrawal of NASA leaders from the race affected the polls. They also said the fact that there were no elections in 25 constituencies affected the outcome.
